Baltimore's Halcyon Days
Published in Paperback by Arcadia (October, 2000)
Authors: Brooke Gunning and Molly O'Donovan
Average review score:

Truly Halcyon Days
"Halcyon Days" does a superb job of capturing, in wonderful photos and rich captioning, the essence of the high-life -- the estates, pastimes, hunts, and haunts -- of yesteryear Baltimore's storied elite. The book provides a broad and beckoning glimpse into the remarkable lives and visions that shaped this city, and will have you longing to be transported back to a more elegant and perhaps more civilized time and place, amonst the roaming masions and woody clubs of grand old Baltimore. I highly recommend it!

Best Bets for Babies: Time-Saving, Trouble-Saving, Money-Saving Tips for Your Baby's First Two Years from the Real Experts-Parents!
Published in Paperback by Delta (January, 1993)
Authors: Brooke McKamy Beebe, Denise Cavalieri Fike, and Rose G. Ames

Best Baby Book
When my children were babies, this book was my favorite. It gives you hints on what you need for every occasion. For example, my car was always stocked with everything I needed because the book told me what to keep in the car. When we went on an airplane, this book was my reference. I used it daily at first. When my second baby came along, the book went to the hospital with me to remind me of what I needed to do to get ready to take my child home. Unfortunately, it is now out of print. I have been searching for it so can I have it on hand to give to friends who are pregnant. My copy is so worn that it has rubber bands around it to hold it together. Buy it while you can!

Boston
Published in Paperback by Hoghton Mifflin Co. (January, 1993)
Authors: Insight Guides and Marcus Brooke
Average review score:

Clear, informative, easy to use.
Excellent guide to Boston for the first timer or the native who wants details for great day trip. Filled with clear and informative maps, fun photos and wonderful descriptions of different areas of Boston and the many surrounding attractions. It contains a terrific history section, practical tips on planning your trip, accomodations, restaurants, shopping and sports info and more and even a list of good books about Boston. The book is scattered with helpful tips and recommendations to enhance your visit. A very attractive book, it's size (about 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 and about 3/4 inch think) makes it easy to carry around and substantial enough to save as a great souvenir of your trip. I work at a Global Training Center and we use this book consistently to help our visitors plan their sightseeing. I highly recommeded this guide.

Brooke Tucker's Golden Christmas: Building a Miniature Masterpiece
Published in Hardcover by Kalmbach Publishing Company (August, 1996)
Authors: Brooke Tucker and Anne Day Smith
Average review score:

Excellent!
This is a must have for any DIY miniaturists library. Even if you don't plan to reproduce the exact room settings, you can learn techniques and principles which can be used in any project. Her attention to detail is simply phenomenal. She even cautions you about the thickness of your pencil lead when drawing your plans, lest your components not fit together perfectly. And, should you never get around to actually "building" anything, it is still a great companion on a rainy day and a beautiful book for your collection.
